Word Count & My Mystery Novel

I have made a plan for finishing my mystery novel The Case of the Sad Sons. I’ve spent some time reading No Plot? No Problem by Chris Baty.  He is one of the original folks that founded the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).  I also have really got a lot of enjoyment out of How to Write a Novel Using the Snowflake Method by Randy Ingermanson.

So I have made a plan.  We will see how it goes.  I’ve made a great colorful chart and a three ring binder.  I had to spend some time today organizing the various versions and data files I had before writing any fresh material.  My plan is to post this once per week so I have some accountability. I am sure there will be some days I don’t meet my goal and others where I have to ‘make up” some progress.  I’m saving the 30 and 31st for self editing and cleanup. Wish me luck!

May 1 progress
