About the Book by Jennette Green

Cover Kaavl ConspiracyFramed…

When eighteen-year-old Methusal Maahr is framed for the murder of her oldest friend, she will do anything to expose the true killer and clear her name, including team up with her arch rival in the Kaavl Games, Behran. But all clues point to her guilt…and appear to tie into a conspiracy regarding the new peace talks with their oldest enemies from Dehre.

While peace looms on the horizon, Methusal doesn’t trust it. Mentàll Solboshn, Chief of Dehre, is not what he appears to be. Her determination to discover the truth soon pits her against the formidable Chief. Not only is he the best kaavl player in the land, but he is determined that the peace plan will pass. Can Methusal’s rare kaavl skills possibly outmatch him, and stop him from succeeding with his devious plans?

Methusal is ready and willing to do anything to protect her community of Rolban–even put her own life on the line to expose and defeat a dangerous political foe. But little does she realize the true danger may lie within her own community…

If you love getting wrapped up in a world, in the lives of interesting and brave characters, but hate when the story ends too quickly, this is the book for you. The author sets up a lot of depth about the world that Methusal lives in.  From the critters, food, weapons all the way up to the societies and kaavl she describes things in a wonderful way.

This work is geared toward teens and young adults.  The main character is 18 years old when the action starts. I didn’t like that when she is framed for murder, her family doesn’t express outrage or belief in her enough to strongly defend her.  As a parent, I would like to think my child would always feel they could come to me for help and that I wouldn’t let them down. I felt disappointed in her relatives. This is the first of a four book quadrilogy. Maybe they will grow in character through the series.

This series has lots of promise.

About the Author

I fell in love with writing in the second grade. My first romance novel, The Commander’s Desire, was published in 2008, and recently updated in 2013. The book is now available in audio book format through Amazon, Audible and iTunes. The Commander’s Desire has been given the accolades of “Top Pick” novel and “Reader’s Favorite Hero for 2009.” Other books I’ve written include Her Reluctant Bodyguard, a Christian romantic suspense novel, and Ice Baron, a futuristic/science fiction romance, packed with action and romance. Each has received a number of “Top Pick” reviews, too.

Author PhotoI’m interested in a number of different subjects! As a result, I like to mix things up, and I write in a variety of genres. However, all of my books include an element of romance, because I love romance stories. Kaavl Conspiracy contains light romantic elements, and as the four book series continues, the romantic elements intensify for the main character, and for other characters, as well.

Kaavl Conspiracy is the first in the Kaavl Chronicles Quadrilogy. The next book, Kaavl Quest, will be published in July 2017, Kaavl Calamity will be published in Fall 2016, and the final book, Kaavl Conqueror, will be published in Winter 2017.

Kaavl Conspiracy is currently $0.99 in ebook format during the tour.

What do you find to be the most challenging part of writing? And the most rewarding?

    • Peggy, thank you so much for stopping by, and for your question. To be honest, I find marketing the book the hardest part, although editing takes a very long time for me, because I always want it to be “perfect.” The most rewarding part is when a reader loves my story just as much as I loved writing it. 🙂

  4. Thank you so much for having me on your blog, and for the review!

The second book in the series will be published on July 18. The cover reveal is on Instagram. 🙂

  5. Just for fun, I’ve set up a scavenger hunt for a lucky winner! Just go to my website: http://www.JennetteGreen.com and find the answers to the following questions:

What are your ambitions for your writing career?

    • Becky, thank you for stopping by, and for the question. My goal as an author is to write the stories that are in my heart–that mean something to me. I hope they will mean something to others, as well, and I hope they will be enjoyed, too. 🙂
