Review: The Girl in White Pajamas

Author Chris Birdy / Reviewed by Felita Daniels / 427 Pages

The Girl in the Black Pajamas is already out. But I hadn’t read the first in the series. So I started with it. You are going to like this book a lot. It is a theme to this review.  There are a lot of characters and there’s a lot going on with them.  That’s why Chris Birdy needed a lot of pages to get it all down!

There are characters galore. Some of them are from the police and law enforcement temperament and some are from the teacup and society pages. I seriously might suggest you keep a pad of paper near to keep track of the characters if you are one that likes to beat the detective to the ending. We have a dead body right off the bat, one of the next men you meet has the same last name. So are they brothers, cousins, or father and son? You want to keep track of who is who. Who is related by blood or marriage? About that, well the same person that looks down their nose at that fella, asks them for help. This one was married to that one, or used to be? The other one blames that one for something. More than one of them has a secret. Whoa!

And then you meet the girl in the white pajamas! There is a lot to love about her too. I would suggest reading this book when you have a block of time to sit down with your favorite beverage and really immerse yourself in the world that the author takes you into. The relationships and their complications are well written. You will like this book A LOT!
